Dr. Musch is the Senior Vice President, Head of Neurology Global Clinical Development with EMD Serono, Inc. In this capacity,
his responsibilities include the strategic oversight of the Neurology portfolio’s growth—present and future, as well as the
overall direction of the long term Neurology pipeline strategy. In addition, he serves as US Site Coordinator for Development.
Career History
Prior to joining EMD Serono, Dr. Bruno was appointed Executive Director for Clinical Research in The Upjohn Company, and later
Vice President for International Clinical development. During this time, Dr. Musch was responsible for the clinical development
of drugs in Parkinson’s Disease, depression, stroke and acute brain injuries. Following the merger with Pharmacia, Dr. Musch
became Vice President for CNS Medical Affairs, and was involved in clinical research in the areas of neurodegeneration, movement
disorders and dementias, leading several drug programs and research programs aimed to the development of new therapeutic strategies
and to the development of new designs for clinical investigations.
Prior to Pharmacia, Dr. Musch joined the pharmaceutical industry as Director of CNS Clinical Research in Synthelabo in Paris
and subsequently in Rhone Poulenc. In this role, Dr. Musch was in charge of the clinical development of drugs in several neurological
and psychiatric indications (insomnia, epilepsy, depression, anxiety disorders, tardive dyskinesia).
During his career, Dr. Musch has been in charge of clinical research and medical affair organizations and has contributed
to many projects for the improvement and understanding of the treatment of several neurological and psychiatric diseases.
He has also been a Visiting Professor at the University of Surrey in clinical neuropharmacology.

EDUCATION
Dr. Musch specialized in Neurology and Psychiatry at the University of Milan Medical School, where he became Assistant Professor
in the Department of Neurology.
