Steven Axon

Mr. Axon is Head of Business Development at EMD Serono, Inc. where he is responsible for business development and licensing for North America. He is also Head of Global Business Development, Fertility/Endocrinology.

Mr. Axon first joined the company in January 2005 as Associate Director of Corporate Strategy. Since then, he has held several managerial positions with increasing responsibility at the company’s global headquarters in Switzerland, including Director of Strategy, Director of Business Development, Global Head of Alliance Management, and as a key member of the core Merck Serono integration team. In his most recent role, as Global Head of Alliance Management, Mr. Axon led a team of five responsible for all business and contractual relationships with Merck Serono’s collaboration partners.

Career History
Prior to joining the company, Mr. Axon worked as a management consultant at Accenture and Strategic Health Innovations with a focus on the life sciences sector.
