The EMD Serono Research Institute in Billerica, Massachusetts, will serve as one of the four hubs for the company’s global research and development organization, fosters enhanced collaboration and synergies to discover and develop innovative therapies with a focus on the therapeutic areas of oncology, neurodegenerative diseases and infertility.

The state of the art Billerica facility is now home to approximately 200 scientists with expertise in cancer biology; cancer immunotherapy; oncogene signaling; manufacturing cell lines; medicinal chemistry; molecular modeling; protein engineering; and therapeutic antibodies.
