At EMD Serono, our goal is to improve patient’s lives. Achieving that goal depends not only on innovating new therapies but also on making sure that they are accessible to patients who may benefit from them. Toward this end, we strive to gain broad formulary coverage for our products, helping to ensure that they are available to the broadest pool of patients. While we have been successful in this endeavor, we recognize that formulary coverage does not help the uninsured get access to therapy. Additionally, some patients are "underinsured", meaning that their insurance plans do not cover all or certain drugs or that the co-payments associated with drug coverage are so high that they create a barrier to care.
Each year, EMD Serono provides tens of millions of dollars of products free of charge to those in financial need, including products donated to independent non-profit organizations. Many of these products are provided through our portfolio of patient assistance programs. These programs are designed to help the uninsured or underinsured by providing select EMD Serono products free or at low cost to patients who meet specific diagnosis, residency and income requirements. With a simple phone call to one of the programs listed below, patients living with multiple sclerosis, infertility, pediatric growth hormone deficiency or HIV wasting can learn more about EMD Serono’s patient assistance programs and begin the enrollment process, if eligible.
EMD Serono currently offers patient assistance programs in the following areas:
MS LifeLinesÒ(multiple sclerosis)
Fertility LifeLinesÔ(infertility)
Connections for GrowthÒ(pediatric growth hormone deficiency)
SeroCareSM (HIV-associated wasting)
