Multiple Sclerosis
Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a chronic, inflammatory condition of the nervous system, which includes the brain, spinal cord, and optic nerves, and is the most common, non-traumatic, neurological disease in young adults. MS may affect approximately two million people worldwide, with more than 400,000 here in the US. While symptoms can vary, the most common symptoms of MS include blurred vision, numbness or tingling in the limbs and problems with strength and coordination. The relapsing forms of MS are the most common. MS is usually diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 40, and it's twice as common in women as in men. Currently, there is no cure for MS.
