Drew Young is the Senior Vice President and U.S. Franchise Head of Neurology & Immunology (N&I) at EMD Serono. In this role, Drew is responsible for leading the Commercial strategy and operations for all N&I products.
Working in the pharmaceutical and biotech industry for more than 25 years, Drew has significant experience leading commercial teams across various therapeutic areas and geographies with an expertise in the N&I space. He has achieved success in establishing business operations and driving product performance.
Drew first joined EMD Serono in 2014 as Senior Vice President, U.S. Neurology and Immunology where he generated new organizational confidence across the business while regaining market leadership in the interferon category.
He then served as Managing Director for the company in Australia and New Zealand where he helped lead launch preparations for products in Multiple Sclerosis and merkel cell carcinoma, identifying opportunities to expand the Fertility portfolio, strengthening relationships with key government officials and advocacy partners and expanding the company’s footprint in New Zealand. Most recently, as Global Commercial Head for the newest product in the global MS franchise, he helped create plans for top markets around the world and provided guidance to improve payer access.
Prior to EMD Serono, Drew held a variety of Commercial leadership roles at Bristol-Myers Squibb in both Canada and the U.S., as well as at Biogen and Novartis.
He graduated from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a bachelor’s degree in Business and Managerial Economics, where he was also the recipient of the Scarlet Key Award for outstanding student leadership.
