Profile

Elaine Kang is a biopharmaceutical leader with deep experience in strategy, commercialization, and launch execution.

At Springworks, Elaine led the launch of GOMEKLI, overseeing HCP marketing and the field team of thought leader liaisons. Prior to this, she was an early employee at Apellis, where she played a key role in scaling the organization from clinical to commercial, advancing multiple product launches across rare disease and ophthalmology. She began her career at McKinsey & Company where she advised biopharma and medtech clients on M&A, organizational design, and go-to-market strategy, before moving into private equity and subsequently industry.

She received her B.S. and M.S. from Yale University, where she worked on clinical research with hematopoietic stem cells. This sparked her passion for advancing needle-moving science – a theme that remains a core focus throughout her work. She loves translating innovation into meaningful moments for patients, while building collaborative, people-first teams.

Elaine lives in Belmont, Massachusetts with her husband – they enjoy being active and can often be found at the boxing gym or running outside.
