BoonHuey Ee

As Head of U.S. Strategy and the President’s Office, Boon provides strategic support to the President and COO, driving long-term projects that enhance EMD Serono’s business performance and culture, ensuring the organization’s future growth and success.

She joined Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany in 2004, holding roles of increasing responsibility, including Country President Malaysia, VP Oncology China and APAC Oncology Franchise Head. She most recently served as General Manager of the healthcare business for Taiwan & Hong Kong and Managing Director of the three business sectors (healthcare, life sciences and electronics) in Hong Kong. In these roles, she steered teams through transformative phases, and spearheaded the launches of key therapies. Boon also co-founded the Women In Leadership Asia Chapter in 2019 and is a member of the global Diversity, Inclusion, Community, Equity/Engagement (DICE) committee for Healthcare.

Boon completed leadership programs at the London Business School, INSEAD and China Europe International Business School and is active board member for European Chamber of Commerce Taiwan and the pharmaceutical industry association, IRPMA in Taiwan.

She holds a Bachelor of Science from Campbell University and graduated with distinction from Tunku Abdul Rahman College in Malaysia.
