Melissa Reed

As Head of Human Resources Healthcare Marketing & North America, Melissa leads the team that is responsible for translating business priorities into HR initiatives to support organizational design and development, talent acquisition and management, and performance and rewards.

She is a dedicated and tenured HR leader, known for her ability to balance business needs with employee well-being to drive optimal results.

Melissa has been with Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany since January 2007, holding several senior positions in HR. She joins EMD Serono from Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany’s Life Science business, where she had roles of increasing responsibility, most recently as the Head of HR Business Partners – Science & Laboratory Solutions & Process Solutions for the Americas.

Prior to her roles in Life Science, Melissa spent over a decade at EMD Serono, holding various roles in HR and Legal, including multiple HR Business Partner positions with increasing responsibility across both Commercial and global R&D.

Melissa holds a BA from Bridgewater University.
