As Senior Vice President, North America Medical Affairs, Dr. Lebson leads the Neurology and Immunology, Oncology, Fertility and HIV teams responsible for driving medical strategy, clinical insights, scientific communications, and data generation to transform patient care.
Lori joined EMD Serono in 2018, serving first as Medical Director of EMD Serono’s newly launched multiple sclerosis medicine, and then as Head of US Medical Affairs, Neurology and Immunology (N&I). Prior to joining EMD Serono, Lori worked at Teva Pharmaceuticals within the Neurology franchise supporting MS and movement disorders.
Lori is also currently the sponsor for Women in Leadership North America at EMD Serono. Her passion is to support and mentor young women and girls who aspire to have a career in science and STEM and to support their development into the next generation of female leaders.
Lori completed her Ph.D. in Neuroimmunology at the University of South Florida. After completing her doctorate, she continued her education as a National Multiple Sclerosis Society Neuroimmunology Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. She has also served as a research assistant at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and the National Institute of Health.
