Profile

As Senior Vice President, North America Medical Affairs, Lori leads the team responsible for driving medical strategy, clinical insights, scientific communications, and data generation to transform patient care.

Lori joined EMD Serono in 2018, serving first as Medical Director of EMD Serono’s newly launched multiple sclerosis medicine, and then as Head of US Medical Affairs, Neurology and Immunology (N&I). 

Prior to joining EMD Serono, Lori worked at Teva Pharmaceuticals within the Neurology franchise supporting MS and movement disorders. 

Lori completed her Ph.D. in Neuroimmunology at the University of South Florida. After completing her doctorate, she continued her education as a National Multiple Sclerosis Society Neuroimmunology Postdoctoral Fellow at Johns Hopkins University. She has also served as a research assistant at the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and the National Institute of Health. In addition to this experience, Lori has received certifications in Genetics and Immunology from Harvard Medical School. 

Lori sits on the Board of Directors for the Boston Chamber of Commerce’s Women’s Network, and is a member of the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics, the American Society of Neural Transplant and Repair, and the Society for Neuroscience.
